As a teenager, artist and filmmaker Jeremy Lee MacKenzie’s life was fractured by heroin addiction leading to eight years in prison for drug trafficking and bank robbery. This exhibition features MacKenzie’s laboriously rendered wood scrollworks, designed clandestinely while in prison. Both his films and visual art explore themes of youth, rebirth and contemporary mythology.
Jeremy Lee MacKenzie is a Champlain College Junior whose screenplay Flicker, recently won the Gold Prize in the 2015 Los Angeles PAGE International Screenwriting Awards.
