Design evolution is the name of the game in this year’s annual Game History Exhibition. Showcasing a curated selection of artifacts, games, and consoles to play from Champlain College’s Game History Collection, explore how game design genres have evolved over time.

Craig Winslow: Visiting Artist and Installation

Champlain College alum, Craig Winslow, is an artist and designer who uses light to create playful, narrative-driven visualizations and immersive experiences. Craig will be visiting with our Interaction Design Production (IXD-350) students in collaboration on an installation in the gallery.

Pride T-Shirt & Poster Making Party
September 4, 7pm – 8:30pm
All students, staff, and faculty are welcome to join us in the Fireside Lounge to decorate t-shirts and posters in preparation for Burlington’s Pride Parade this Sunday, September 7! Block printing supplies and fabric markers will be available for t-shirt decorating. You may bring your own clothing to decorate or you can use one of our plain white T-shirts. Posterboard and markers will be available for poster decorating. For more information, please contact womensandgender@champlain.edu.

The gallery is accepting submissions for our spring all-campus group exhibition. Call and Response welcomes works in all media from current students, faculty, and staff that explore themes related to and in response to our March exhibition with artist and Champlain adjunct painting faculty Sage Tucker Ketcham. We encourage everyone to use the JSTOR Global Plants Archive as a springboard for inspiration and to visit the artist’s website.

PechaKucha Burlington Event

PechaKucha Night Burlington (or “PKN Burlington”) is a visual storytelling event that celebrates the creative power and diversity of our community here in Burlington, across Vermont, and beyond.Drawing its name from the Japanese word for the sound of “chit chat,” PechaKucha (pronounced Petch-aa Koo-chaa) is a worldwide phenomenon that began over 15 years ago in Tokyo and that can now claim regular events in over 1,000 cities across the globe. The PechaKucha format uses a quick and concise 20×20 presentation that allows each presenter to show 20 images for 20 seconds each. Presenters share their stories as the images transition automatically. Every presentation lasts just 6 minutes and 40 seconds.
